Hi...uh ok I got this. What are the possibilities that these will make it into the game?
Running Some of the RE enemies were fast or numerous. Added to a hectic pacing and made some areas a bad place to hang around in. Like some area's you could take you time and do what you needed to. Where others had you standing at a door trying to remember were the enemies were and the route you should take.
Counter pushing (RE3) When you had your gun drawn in RE3 and a zombie tried to grapple you, there was a timed button press that allowed you would dodge or push them away.
New game plus?
Crowbar and bolt cutters for new game plus?
Item boxes? I have no idea how big you are planning on making this game.

If he does the Item Box, he should not make it magical like in RE1-3. Instead each box holds what you put in it for that box alone. This way things are more of a challenge. Or make this part of a higher difficulty down the line for those who want it. I for one never liked the magical box that transported my 9mm rounds around the city/mansion. It wasn't right.

Yes, I much prefered the parasite eve way of doing things.

Interesting, I was going to keep it true to the RE spirit with regards to the magical item boxes.
Don't worry, zombies will get faster further into the game, as well as more dangerous enemies being introduced.
I didn't plan on introducing counter pushes, more keeping it restricted to dodging, combat and escaping.
I'll have a think about New Game +

i like the magical boxes myself XD the game doesn't need to be too hard that way (and if the game is in chapters, you won't not be able to backtrack so all the items will just be gone) but if there isn't any chapters then it should at least be a choise tho and yay NG+

Do you mean where you keep everything you collected from the last play through? Or (I tend to think of weird shit mind you) where you jump in the box and fast travel around the game?

It could be a difficulty feature. Each box holds whatever is in it and doesn't transfer to others. If you can't backtrack, then you lose whatever you left behind. Difficulty enhanced.

i'm thinking of it like this, unless key items (like lets say a jewel to unlock a door.... it IS resident evil XD) have it's own inventory (like RE4) it would go in your main items, (like RE 1 to 3) so if you put the jewel (which is for the next chapter your on) in the box but forget it and if there is no backtracking then your screwed, however if it is like the parasite eve games then RE:P will need a hub area you can come and go to when you can/need to. but i'm thinking if the game is going to be in chapters overall i maybe wrong XD

This keeps going until no boxes are left(assuming fixed amount of boxes in each level) This means that it is easy to backtrack in level 1, but you will have to go much farther in level 2. Organic difficulty at it's finest!
